This page connects you with all the information you need to evaluate and design with Microchip's 32-bit SAM G family of microcontrollers.

Family Overview

SAMG51The SAM G51 series (Arm® Cortex®-M4 RISC processor with Floating Point Unit) has 256 KB of Flash and 64 KB of SRAM. It has one USART, two UARTs, two I2C, up to two SPIs, an 8-channel 12-bit 37 kSPS ADC, and 18 Peripheral DMA Controller (PDC) channels. Power consumption in active mode is 103 µA/MHz and wait mode is 6.8 µA. Wake-up time from wait mode to active mode is 3.2 µs.
- Arm Cortex-M4F core @ 48 MHz
SAMG53The SAM G53 series builds on the SAMG51 with 512 KB of Flash and 96 KB of SRAM. It also adds a second (three-channel) 16-bit timer, two I2S channels, and 28 Peripheral DMA Controller (PDC) channels. Power consumption in active mode is 102 µA/MHz and wait mode is 8 µA. Wake-up time from wait mode to active mode is less than 5 µs.
- Arm Cortex-M4F core @ 48 MHz
SAMG54The SAM G54 series builds on the SAM G53 by adding speed, running up to 96 Mhz. It also has the same low power consumption.
- Arm Cortex-M4F core @ 96 MHz
SAMG55The SAMG series builds on the SAM G54 by adding speed, running up to 120 Mhz. It has more SRAM than the SAM G54 (176 KB) and Full-Speed USB. It also has the same low power consumption.
- Arm Cortex-M4F core @ 120 MHz
