Configure LED pin

In this step, the user LED on the SAM E70 Xplained Ultra Evaluation Kit will be configured according to the USER_LED design schematic.

Select the MPLAB® Harmony Configurator (MHC) Pin Settings tab, scroll down to PA05 (Pin Number 73) in the Pin ID column, and then configure the PORT pin PA05 as an output pin for LED functionality.

The LED on the SAM E70 Xplained Pro board is active low. Configure the LED in default OFF state by configuring the latch value to logic High.


Rename the default main file

Under the Project Graph tab, click on System and give a name of your liking to the default template main file generated by the MHC.

The name of the default main.c is changed to main_e70.c to indicate that the referred main.c is for the SAM E70/S70/V70/V71 getting started training module.


Configure Application Tasks

Go to the Project Graph and select Harmony Core.

The Configuration Options show that for a Harmony Project, MHC automatically enables the generation of application files (app.c and app.h).

Change the Number of Applications to 2.

Expand Application 0 Configuration and rename the default application name to app_sensor.

Expand Application 1 Configuration and rename the default application name to app_eeprom as shown below. Press the Enter key to save the application name.
