Error Message - "Target device was not found (could not detect target voltage VDD)"

The Target device was not found (could not detect target voltage VDD) error message appears when the MCU is not powered. If an external power supply is not being used, please make sure the power from the programmer is enabled to supply power to the circuit board.

  • Project Properties > Programmer [your programmer] > Power.
  • Check the 'Power target circuit from programmer'.
