Timer Static Driver Project Using chipKIT™ WF32

This example project is being updated to use the latest version of MPLAB Harmony. The new project should be available before May 2016.

This project sets up a 32 bit timer (Timer2/3) to drive Timer Static Driver instance 0. This driver triggers an interrupt every 500 ms which toggles one of the LEDs on the WF32 board through the interrupt service routine.

This project uses the chipKIT WF32 board from Digilent Inc..

This fully functional project provides you with an example of using Harmony to control this peripheral.

  1. Download the project files (see important note below)
  2. Open the project in MPLAB X IDE
  3. Observe the code: start with files shown in the example code below
  4. Build, program, and run the project on the board to verify the operation

Project and Source Files

The project files should be placed in this directory: <Harmony install path>/apps/training
(example Harmony install path = c:/microchip/harmony/v1_03). If this is not done, MPLAB® X IDE will not be able to find all source files, and the project will not build successfully.

This project has been verified to work with the following versions of software tools:
MPLAB® X IDE v2.30, MPLAB® XC32 Compiler v1.34, MPLAB® Harmony v1.03
Newer versions of these tools will probably work as well so try using them first.
