Power Data with Program Counter (PC) Mode

The Power Data with PC mode provides power samples on an update of the project’s functions, consisting of a time stamp, voltage, and current.


Select Trace and Profiling Category

In the Project Properties window, click the “Real ICE” category and select the “Trace and Profiling” option category.


Select and Enter Setup Data

In the Trace and Profiling option category:

  • Under “Target Power Sampling Selection”, select “Power Data on PC Update Only” from the list.
  • Under “Power Measurement”, select “Target Board (1mA - 1A)”. To measure the power consumption of only the microcontroller, see Device Power (CHB) Setup.
  • Under “Target Power Sampling Interval (in microseconds)”, enter a value.
  • Under “How/When PC is to be Provided”, select “At Function Entry and Exit”.

Accept Settings

Click Apply if you want to select additional power settings or OK to close the Project Properties window.
